According to a major English newspaper, Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani has entered the competition to purchase the prestigious English football team Liverpool FC. The current owners of the English Premier League powerhouses, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), who acquired the Merseyside club in October 2010, have allegedly hired Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to help them sell the Club. The FSG are prepared to sell the club for 4 billion British pounds, according to "The Mirror."


According to the English daily, Ambani, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries and the seventh richest person in the world according to Forbes, has inquired about the club.
