Important update from NPC regarding 2023 census preparation kindly check

 

Farewell party in honour of the outgoing Resident Representative of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Nigeria, Ms. Ulla Elisabeth Mueller at The Vue Restaurant in Abuja – 4th July 2023.

NPC team led by the Chairman of the Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, fnsa and other development partners were in attendance to bid Ms. Mueller goodbye.

Ms. Ulla Mueller who was appointed the UNFPA Nigeria Resident Representative in February 2020 worked closely with the National Population Commission and other organizations in addressing the population and development issues in Nigeria, especially in areas of promoting sexual and reproductive health (including family planning), reproductive rights and choices, reducing maternal and child mortality, empowerment of women and girls, and gender equality.

She is a strong voice in pushing for the conduct of the next Population and Housing Census in Nigeria to enable the government and researchers to have accurate and reliable data to plan and accelerate progress towards achieving the SDGs.

NPC deeply appreciates Ms. Mueller for her dedication and invaluable contributions and wishes her all the best in her next place of assignment.
