RIYADH: The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia on Tursday ordered accredited observatories to search for the Shawwal 1443 Crescent on the evening of Saturday, 29 Shawwal 1443 corresponding to March 30th, 2022.
It also called upon citizens and residents to search for the crescent and report any sightings to their nearest court, The Saudi Press Agency reported citing the Royal Court.
The sighting of the crescent of Shawwal will also mark the day of Eid Al Fitr which will begin either fall on Sunday or Monday next week.
Several Astronomers have said that there are less chances of the crescent of being seen on Saturday evening and the month of Ramadan 1443 is likely to complete 30 days.
